About Us
Our Mission Statement
The Southport Fire Department provides superior service to the people of the Southport Fire District in an effort to protect their lives, property and environment. The members of the department will accomplish this through fire suppression, fire prevention, public education, emergency response and non-emergency response. Our department is a combination department comprised of 14 paid staffers, 50 Vol. FF’s, 5 Jr. FF’s and 40 EMS Volunteers. We also have a variety of active retirees and honorary members. We operate out of 4 stations. We have a very active fire prevention program and a clown troop of twelve firefighters. Our department is dedicated to the broadest level of service possible for our community.
